S.A.F.E. Playground Supervision Training Workshops

The National Program for Playground Safety is proud to announce SAFE Playground Supervision Training Workshops available in your community starting September 2002. Workshops are available on a contractual basis in half day (approximately 4 hours) or one day
(8 hours) format and are conducted by NPPS certified instructors. Each workshop is designed to cover the ABC’s of Playground Supervision.


What Participants Will Learn

How to analyze the playground for potential problems and hazards.
What constitutes unsafe play behavior by children.
How to effectively monitor play areas through active movement and scanning.
What methods of communication to use in emergency situations.
How to develop an effective supervision plan to reduce injuries and provide SAFE play.

You’ll leave with more than knowledge. You’ll go home with valuable skills, resources, and insights to apply right away!

Each participant will receive a comprehensive manual of information, as a resource to use again and again.

Continuing Education Units
By completing the entire workshop, you are eligible for 1.0 General CEUs for professional development.
